Look in the Mirror

Look in the mirror. What do you see? In the book of James chapter 1 it says this:

But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. 23For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. 24You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like. 25But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don’t forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.

It’s been said that when you start to get a look at your own junk you can start to grow. We have a habit of seeing the issues in others much more readily in others than ourselves. If we forget what we see in the mirror of our own hearts and not allow God have at us to effect change, don’t expect it.

When you begin to look intently and seek change of broken areas genuinely

, you can expect God to do the desired and needed work in you to effect lasting change and true transformation.
